hello every body i would like to start a 20 gallon pleco tank and when they out grow my tank i will just sell them but ,i would like to no what kind of plecos and how many could i put in like i said if they get too big i'll sell them.

What type do you want and how big are they going to be when you get them?

A 20 gallon long would probably be best, since plecos don't really care more about height, but just surface area.

BN's are easy to breed.

when i get them thell probly be 2-3 in" and when they get over 10" ill sell them or put them in my 55 gal (if theres room) but ,if i can get a hold of bns ,candy stripe, tiger and,buterfly plecos then i would put them in there. :D

Probably about 10 would be good, but no more than 15!

You'll want an external filter, or at least 2 internal ones if you want to keep just plecs in the tank.

But is it not a bit heartless to just get them knowing they'll outgrow the tank "then just sell them"? :shock: They're pets just like a cat or dog.

In a 20 gallon? Are you being serious? :shock:

im only going to put for and its just as heartless as breed and selling the fry from the parents. im not going to put gravel and im not going to put ten in :D 8)
