1 week after transfer....

Well, its been a week since I transferred the contents (water, gravel, some decorations, and 3 fish)of my old 20g tank to my new 46g tank........
Ive been checking the parameters every other day and it has stayed stable all week.......
pH: 7.6
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: somewhere b/w 5 and 10 ppm

Do you think it is safe to start adding fish?

hi
i would say to add them slowly, and keep checking
the water as you do,because then you will see if you filter is
finding it hard to keep up with the influx of fish.
if your readings rise then hold off from adding fish,
wait until the readings settle then begin again.
ihth.

Thanks.......how many should I add at a time?

Depends what type of fish. The smaller the fish the more you could add at a time, the larger the less. As an example, maybe 2-3 guppies, or 4 neons, or 1-2 platies etc etc. You get the idea. :)
