Where would I start?

Im not going to be planting my tank for a while, but when I do where would I start? I have no idea how it works, whats needed, etc.........

You should start by getting some laterite and put it in your gravel than you should see what plants you can keep. Some plants need a lot of care while others very minimal care. Than you should see what plants to put on the background, mid-ground and foreground.
