Male Texas cichlid would be my guess.
It is definitely a Texas Chichlid. It needs a 50 - 100gal tank.
iS IT MALE OR FEMALE?
Answered above in two previous post's.8-)
It is not long enough in the body to be a true Texas cichlid.
It is actually a Herichthys carpintis or Green Texas Cichlid, can be called Pearlscale as well , there is a difference, Herichthys carpintis have smaller spots than a true Texas.
