Do MTS have to be a similar size to mate?

This may sound like a stupid question but do MTS (Malaysian trumpet snails) have to be a similar size in order for them to breed successfully?

No. You can start with just one. They reproduce asexually, meaning they don't need another one to reproduce. That has always been my understanding of them.
