Best way to do water changes

I take water from the tank and put it in a 5 gallon bucket. Carry the bucket to the bathroom to empty and then repeat till my back can't take it anymore. There's got to be a better way..will someone fill me in on this secret? The bucket method was fine when i was doing 20% changes of 29 gallons but now that I have a 55 gallon tank, the bucket method just isn't working for me once a week.

get one of those python gravel vacs... it can be hooked up to the faucet directly... siphon the water out and fill the water in with the same... this method also helps keep the gravel clean...

i use this to siphon the water out, but use the traditional way to fill them back in... water sits for 24 to 48 hours before going into the aquarium.
