My black male molly is acting strange.

I have a black molly that has been acting strange for the past 4-5 days. He keeps swimming (wiggling in place) in the bottom of the tank, pretty much laying in the gravel. Last night he was swimming against the water flow coming out of the filter (kind of like a fish treadmill!). I think he is sick, but I do not know what is wrong. All the other fish (not livebearers-except one platy) seem fine.

Any suggestions?

That's a new one on me. No other signs of illness? No white spots, or erratic swimming? He might just be bored.

Well, there is a very small spot on his tail that may be a white spot. Mostly, he just lays in there gravel wiggling.

I am checking the water levels now...

Okay. They check out fine. Same as they have been for the last month, anyway.

I have no idea. Sure it's a male?
