Marineland Emperor 400
anybody have any experience/reviews on these.......?
any thoughts or suggestions......?
I have a 46g tank and with a 200gph filter (marineland Penguin 200 BIO-wheel).....I would like to upgrade to a larger filter and was considereing the Emperor 400......
I purchased my current Penguin 200 filter about a week and a half ago at Petsmart......does anyone know if I would be able to bring it back for an exchange?
If you have receipt and box they'll let you take it back I'm sure. I have a marineland penguin, after about three months the biowheel stopped working (I later read that the biowheels are useless in areas with hard water) about 6 months after this, both the penguins I have barely work...I have taken apart, cleaned, scrubbed, they still dont work very well at all...disappointed to say the least..
i have an marineland emperor 280 for almsot a year now......everything has been working fine no problems.....but supposedly the emperors are prone for breaking.....im sure though if you take good care of your filter you should have no problems......its your decision but you will need an upgrade.....my suggestion maybe a AquaClear filtration.
hope this helps :?
I actually ended up getting the Penguin 350 instead, the emperor wouldn't have fit my tank.......
Only $26.99, price matched from $47.99...........
Good luck to you
