Very Long Guppy Pregnancy My guppy has been pregnant for almost two months, I'm wondering what's going on! I've got a small 10 gallon with 3 fancy guppies (2 female, 1 male), 2 honey gouramis and 3 corys. She's very active and healthy, swimming around with the other guppies. I keep my tank at 79F, and all of my levels (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, PH, hardness, chlorine and alk.) are perfect. I feed them a mix of Wardley's Essentials, freeze dried blood worms and live brine shrimp. The tank is planted with Windelov Fern and Crypto Lingua, so there are hiding places, without being crowded. Why is she still pregnant? Thanks! http://fishforum.com/userpix/3816_daniella_1.jpg |
What is your temperature? Any pics of the gravid spot? Looks like she still is not dropping fry sooner or later yet, maybe not next week. |
Thanks for the prompt response! The temp is 79F. Here's some more pics, I had trouble getting ones in focus! http://fishforum.com/userpix/3816_IMG_2173_1.jpg http://fishforum.com/userpix/3816_IMG_2198_1.jpg |
she looks like she should drop soon. What works for me is a water change and about 81 degrees farenheit and about 1 TBSP per 5 gallons. |
