I have these little creatures in my tank that look like insects, they have antennae and small legs and look like beetles...they are living behind the suction cup of the heater...

Any chance you can take a picture and post it? If they are as Steve suggests then as far as I know that is a good thing... I remember paying dearly for them at the store when I was trying to feed my Mandarin Dragonet.

I agree, sounds like copepods, and that's a good thing. That's a sign of a healthy and established tank.
