Vinegar

I bought some "Decorative glass Nuggets" and they had a bad scent, so i soaked them in vinegar. I now want to put them in a tank, so do i just rinse the vinegar? or do i soap them? Is the vinegar harmful to bettas?

Just rinse thoroughly. Don't use detergents as they can kill your fish even if you think you thouroughly remove them.

Agreed. Any sort of surface cleaner/dishsoap/handsoap, anything, I would stay away from. I lost one of my bettas - my very first female betta to die - because my brother-in-law mistakenly used a surface cleaner to clean the inside of the tank! Baaaaaaad memory. My mom thought I'd gotten electrocuted or something, I screamed so loud...

PS: Sorry if that last bit scared you! Just emphasizing the need to NOT use soap!
