help needed please
Just would like some advice please at the moment i have a fishbox which holds 40l of water came with all heating element and lighting and filter, i have been offered a 3ft tank to my joy :-D but was wondering if i can use the existing heating element and lighting and filter? if not would anyone be able to tell me what size, make,i should be getting thank you so much for your help in advance
you will prob. need a larger heater. if you google "fish tank calculator" you should be able to calculate how many gallons ( in your case, liters ) the tank is. from there you can better figure out how large of a heater you will need.
Once we know the tank capacity (volume, in gallons or liters) we will have a better idea of suitable filters and heaters. Alos, knowing what fish you intend keeping, as not all fish appreciate all filters due to the water movement (current) aspect. The filter must be suited both to the tank volume and the fish species. Knowing if live plants are intended is also imortant.
And welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.:-D
