Stocking a new 10 gallon
I just found a great deal on a tank for 10 bucks. I know for sure I want a male half-moon betta and possibly a largish shrimp species any suggestions of shrimp are appreciated. Also what would be a type of schooling fish I can possibly house in this tank and the filtration is a tetra whisper 20i
Ember tetra are another species that I've heard people have been lucky and able to keep betta with, but it's really on a case-by-case basis. Some betta are just too aggressive, and some tetra are just too nippy. A decent amount of planting and some floating plants will probably help keep both parties happy, but it's not a guarantee.
Alternatively, you could divide the tank and get two betta. Saves you the stress of rehoming one party if your betta is too aggressive with tankmates.
