46G levels

well I finally got my 46g bow set up today.....I upgraded from a 20G hex.......I transferred the water, the gravel, some of the decorations, the fish (2 tiger barbs, 1 red fin shark), and I stuck the foam piece from the old filter into the new filter............
I checked the levels tonight and the #'s were:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10ppm
Ph 7.5

Is that normal? Did i check them too early? should I wait a few days and check it again?
When should I add fish and what kind do you recomend?

Sorry for all of the questions, but im learning........
Thanks.............
Robb

You'll be fine with it. Just do water changes the moment you detect ammonia and nitrites. Test them daily.:)
