My guppies are acting weird

I have 6 prego guppies in a 10 gal w some java moss and an anubia nana some of the guppies are close to the gravel being still and the others are going from top to bottom and chasing the still ones. its kinda neat to watch but not sure whats going on here. can someone tell me ?????
plus there are a couple of my girls that have poop? hanging out their vents. what is this it is stringy looking ?????

Well if they are all prego females then the ones at the bottom may be showing a sign of giving birth soon. As for the chasing Ive know females to chase each other sometimes but usually its the males that chase the females around all day. and lastly my guppies as well as my other fish poop the same way too lol so no worries.

I'm new at this. . . but when my guppy gave birth, the other females in the tank were going BONKERS! It took me a little while to figure out what was going on in there. . .they weren't chasing the pregnant/still one, but chasing and eating her babies as they emerged. Guppy babies are VERY small. . .and pretty transparent. Are you sure they aren't delivering already?

Aww! I'm sorry to hear that :(
In my limited experience guppies are voracious. Mine acted JUST as you described when one of them was giving birth! Better luck next time. . . I'm sure there WILL be a next time with guppies involved! You might want to get one of those breeder boxes to keep those little guys away from the bigger ones. I had a lot of foliage in the tank, but the fry still couldn't escape, and I'm sure none would have survived for a day without my intervention!
