i think ive started off on the wrong foot , i have a 10 gallon tank that has been up and running for two weeks , cycling , i put 4 tiger barbs in , i know in my own heart that this is too many fish for the tank much less the cycle period , what should i do? i know it was wrong to start off like this. thanks for any advise
Frequent Water Changes. Keep your ammonia down.
Yep, I agree. You're going to be a slave to water changes for awhile. Test the water at least once a day with an API liquid test kit, feed sparingly, and get two 5 gallon buckets. One for clean water and the other for the dirty, a bottle of Prime or similar treatment, and a gravel vac.
Is it possible to get some used filter media or gravel from an established tank? That would help greatly.
I speak from experience.
thanks to all for your help , ill let you know how its going
