A Happy 90g?
I'm buying a 90g soon and putting one of my Oscars in it.
He's a young one and quite selective about his fish, like most Oscars are.
What would be some of your suggestions to go in there?
So far I want 3 Silver Dollars, and I've been looking into Gouramis. (Is Gouramis + Oscar even possible?)
The Oscar is a Tiger Oscar, so I want a fish with some red/grey/green/purple in it (Preferably.. I like things to match (: )
Any suggestions on large-ish fish with Red, Green, Grey, or Purple on it? Open to all suggestions!
Is the 90 gallon a 4 ft tank? if so that doesnt leave much room for other fish that would share the same swimming area as a oscar. Considering gouramis are territorial id say no, the oscar would probably kill it. An oscar and a school of silver dollars is already pushing a 90 to the max when you consider the oscar will get over a foot and each of the silver dollars (depending on species) can get up to the size of small dinner plates. Maybe something for the bottom like a royal pleco? I just would try for something that stays smaller then common plecos. Instead of silver dollars you could also do something like larger species of rainbow fish or giant danios for top water instead of the silver dollars if you wanted.
There isn't much you can do. A school of silver dollars should ideally be kept in a 6ft tank. Even the smaller growing species get 6in in diameter. I would look at maybe a mid sized pleco but I would just keep him by himself.
Okay, Thanks guys!
