New Here. Just wanted to say Hi!
I grew up keeping freshwater tanks, so I am not a total newb.
I've had to move around the country every 18-24 months for work for the last 10 or so years. Which has prohibited me from keeping any tanks. Now things have stabilized work wise and I'm back home in Michigan. Finally getting back into aquarium keeping. Yay!
Wow! Has this hobby progressed in the 10-15 yrs. since I've been away! Lots to learn.
I am currently cycling a 75 Gallon 48" planted freshwater tank. Planted but no fish yet. Maybe another week or two. Planning on a heavily planted community tank.
This is my first attempt at a planted tank.
On the back burner I have a 120 Gallon Acrylic reef tank. I picked up second hand from a friends friend. If I can restrain myself. I plan to wait till I can afford to set it up "the right way". Probably in the fall.
Never dabbled in Salt so I need to get my learnin on before I try.
hello and welcome.
look forward to pictures if you can. :-D
Hi! welcome to forum. Can hardly wait to see your planted tank!
Thanks. Added CO2 tank this week. Waiting on new lighting. Kind of unsightly with temporary lights. Hopefully a few pics soon.
Also upgraded filtration to Fluval 406. That thing is a silent beast! Added 2 SeaChem Purigen bags in the 406. Couldn't believe the improvment over old filter set up.
have to say i love my fluvials, thy really are quiet and efficient.
Hi Matty and welcome to the forum
Looking forward to your 75 gallon pics. And yes, there is so much more helpful information out there these days to help along the way. This forum was a lifesaver for me and it also got me hooked on bettas :)
Hello and welcome to tfk. Great information here to help you along the way and a great bunch of people.
