What are you thankful for?
 

As one gets older, the simple things in life are more appreciated. When I was young, I sprang out of bed in the morning with little thought of how good I felt or how wonderful the day would be. It is different now that I am older. Now, when I get up in the morning, I thank God for being able to open my eyes, and stand up with not too much pain. Having had Cancer puts life in perspective as well. I might not have been here anymore at all.

These past 3 days have been like a little taste of Heaven. The weather has been amazing, especially for Wisconsin in March. Usually we are still buried under snow and might still be below zero. These past few days have been in the high 70's to low 80's not humid, gentle breeze. I have woke up in the morning to the most amazing chorus of birds singing that "spring is here" song that I LOVE so much. I woke up and Thanked God that I could hear that, that I didn't have to have either the air conditioner or the heater on and that I had the days off to enjoy. The biggest thing is that I was able to get up without too much pain. My feet hurt as usual but I don't have to be standing on them all day today so that is great.

Right now the boys are outside in the yard galloping about tugging on an old mountain climbing rope that I have out there as a toy. The birds are still singing that song and the gentle breeze is coming in through the open window. The fishtanks are clean and doing well. Life is good.

What are you thankful for today?

I'm thankful for my family, even though they can Ba a pain sometimes. Lol I'm thankful for the nice weather. I'm thankful for all the things I take for granted like a roof over my head and having enough to eat when so many people don't

Well said, so many of us take things for granted. I am also thankful for my plants in my tank that I have worked so hard to get back. I am sad to say, today I see all kinds of little snails.. YiKES!!!! I hope they don't eat my plants. :shock:

I am also very thankful for this forum and all the knowledgeable people here willing to help others. Thanks guys, you are GREAT!

That's another thing I'm thankful for, this forum. I've met so many nice people and I have learner a lot.

I am thankful for my family and friends and I am thankful that they are doing well. I am thankful for our cozy house and the haven it is to us. Getting back into my lifelong aquarium hobby and connecting with so many nice considerate people on this forum are things that I'm very thankful to have experienced. And I'm thankful that the University Of Cincinnati Bearcats are in the Sweet Sixteen !
