Wow check out this filter!
Wow this filter looks great to me, what do you guys think?
To be honest I think it is huge, looks ancient and most likely a huge pain in the neck to maintain and change the filter the media. This is only from looks though as I have never heard of them.
I just don't know about that filter.
But then again I would never go with a filter that sits inside my tank.
Heck, really the only ones I like are canister filters.
Now this is a filter:
It's the filter I have for my 75 gallon.
You can find it cheaper. I got mine brand new for $210 shipped to my door.
My 15 gallon has a biowheel filter (not canister).
I understand what everyone is saying and I would have bought the best filter out there but I need a submersible filter due to the fact that anything external will get to easily clogged with all of the waste. and he said it is about 12inchx4inch
I would suspect that filter of getting clogged a lot faster than the fx5
My aquaclear filters have never EVER become clogged. It is almost impossible for them to actually become clogged. When I used internal filters years and years ago it was almost impossible to keep them becoming clogged. My undergravel filters worked better than an internal ever did.
Just my humble opinion again but internals are much more hastle than they are worth.
i agree with fish_4_all.
it might have lots of flow but its taking up tank space and it doesnt have much room for media. something is wrong if you cant keep a canister from being clogged. clean it here and there and you shouldnt have a problem.
I am almost positive I have posted here about that and I asked if it were true that it would get clogged...and I was told that since I have such large animals the waste would always be clogging it...but im not sure if I posted it here...besides here, tons and tons of people told me the same thing and that my best bet would be a underwater filter...
