diy floresent hood cooling

I am building a new enclosure for my light and wanted to put a cooling fan on one end of the fixture. I have a few fans that i removed from one of my old computers, but not sure how to wire it to turn on and off with my light. Any ideas would help. The ones i see online are around 30 bucks and i can't see spending that on a fan.:frustrated:

You might find some tips in the DIY Aquarium section of the forum. I'm certain a couple of other members have built hoods recently.

Find a wall wart power supply with an output between about 9v and no higher then 12 volts and probably at least an output of 100mA ( can go higher), strip the ends of the fan and wall wart and hook them together and wrap them up.
