New Driftwood Arrived

I ordered some Malaysian Driftwood online. It was a gamble since you can't see what you are ordering ahead of time, but I think I did okay.

Can't really see it from the photo, but a couple have a really nice shape to them that I think will make for a nice cave-like shelter, kind of a bowl shaped depression underneath the wood.

My wife will steal one of the smaller pieces for her 10 gallon Betta tank, but the rest will go into my brand new 125g once we get it up and running. Bought the lumber for the stand today and I'll start building tomorrow. I expect that to take at least a week, plus we have to get the carpets replaced in the room, once we put that tank in we'll never want to be forced to move it for at least 15 years.

I'm really glad I got one that is kind of branchy looking. It's not too tall, about 12-14" or so. I'll have to resist ordering even more

Nice wood  Couldn't resist sorry...

But seriously you have some wood with good shape and variation of sizes your layout will look great I'm sure.

Oh yeah, you did well. I ordered some online and wasn't thrilled with the shapes but it is always a gamble. I could use a few of the pieces you have their. Good score! :-)

Very nice pieces! I think I'll like to hand pick mind better, that I know what I'm getting.

I love when driftwood has that arch on the bottom you're talking about. Two of the three pieces in my 55g have that, and its such an awesome Cory (or whatever) hideout.

Congrats on your haul!

Some good looking pieces! How much did you pay for them, including shipping?

Thanks everyone!

I do too, but haven't found a single store out here yet that sells Malaysian =/

$48, it was an 8 pack so $6 each which is a steal compared to Ebay. There were a couple extra extra small pieces. Still trying to figure out if they broke off larger pieces during shipment or were just freebies.
