New light, good or bad?

I got a zoo med ocean sun f17t8 10,000k. I know that a 6,700k is good for plants. It is a 24" light for my 29 gallon Freshwater, it is only one strip and the stock hood for my tank. Will it be good enought to keep a saltwater tank? I want to convert the tank to a saltwater but is the light good? I have a 29 gall that is already a saltwater but I want two.

What type of setup are you wanting to do? Are you going to do a fish only with live rock, or are you wanting to keep corals? This will make a difference in what your lighting needs will be.

As long as you are just going with fish at this point, that light will be fine for that, but not for any kind of corals.

I will only have fish with live rock.
