Java Fern and Mystery Snails

I have a Java Fern that is the only live plant in my aquarium. I really want a snail or two for my aquarium, but I am worried they will eat my Java Fern to death. I know that the Java Fern will not be eaten by many fish, but will mystery snails eat it?

A true mystery snail won't eat your plants, so no worries.

True?

How do you know if it is a true mystery snail? I am talking about the ones you get from stores like Petsmart.

A true mystery snail, pomacea bridgesii, has 90 degree angles on its shoulders. If you bought it at Petsmart, that's likely what it is.
