Convict cichlid in 20 gallon tank
Can I get a single convict cichlid in a 70 litre tank?? I want a cichlid and a convict seems right. I dont want any little cichlids, I want a big aggressive one and a convict is right for me
I wouldn't do it long term. They need a bit more room to swim.
I full grown convict will need a 3ft tank so at least 30 gallons.
a 20 gallon long would work. I have had a single convict in one of those for nearly 10 years now. Fish doesn't seem to mind and I have some glass marbles in there that she likes to push around when she isn't busy digging.
thankyou K98058 finally someone who can give me hope
Personally, I think they need at least a 20g long or 29g. It's the absolute minimum I would recommend and a bigger tank would be better. It can be done successfully. Just keep on top of water changes and such. What kind of filter do you have?
a really crappy one at the moment but im getting a bigger one in a coupkle of weeks im not getting the convict soon, i getting a free conjag
