Clown Loaches Eating Snails
At what size do Clown Loaches start eating snails ? Also, will it cause more harm than good by taking snails from one tank to another to provide snails for them to eat ?
It really depends on what snails they are.
There are some that they simply will not touch.
They look like what we used to call pond snails in the old days. They move kind of fast for a snail. I've even seen them riding the water current. Just looked them up...they are pond snails.
In my ignorant days, I bought one to fix a snail problem in a 10 gallon. Well, I went from hundreds of pond snails to none in less than a week. However, those suckers are nasty aggressive when you break all the rules:oops:
They are schooling, and get pretty big, they really need a large tank.
