Will a Nass snail or Cerith or Nerite be able to eat the algea off of plant leafs too?

yep

Cerith snails most definitely clean off of plants. But i guess it depends if the plant is strong enough to hold the small snail.

I'm confused as to what plant leaves you refer to as most all marine plants are actually macroalgaes.
