German Ram Companions? So, I was going to get a 75 gallon and get discus with rams, but not so sure on the discus any more. What are any cichlids could 'take place' of the discus. Would the Geophagus species "Red Head Tapajoz" be okay, and this would all be in a 75. Any fish that would work with them that could replace the discus are welcome |

Sounds like a fantastic tank. Lucky you! :) I've seen GBR's kept with a nice schools of glass catfish and rummy nose tetras, but I'm guessing you are talking more about larger fish? I have no idea what the Tapajoz are - love to know. Gwen |
Yeah I talking cichlids or similar to, 'Red Head Tapajoz' are Earth eaters. What they do is grab a mouthful of sand and strain it through there gills catching and food particle or any edible items. They do this all the time and just go around sifting through sand, very interesting fish. |
What kind of sand is that in your avatar Gwen, I really like it. |
