How long do you think till my guppy gives birth?

And when do you think I should seperate her from the other fish? This is my first time owning any liverbearers, so I'm not sure.

Umm, depends on her changes in behaviour, if she is acting lazy and hides on the bottom like mollies and balloon mollies then she will lay during the week.My balloon molly had babies this morning so it feels good.

What do you plan to do with all the babies? I had a Guppy explosion that toom me months to take care of. As soon as you can sex the babies, I would separate them. 13 Guppies can easily turn into 1300 Guppies. Your girl is lovely. Reminds me of one of my girls, I named Junior. She was the first fry born. The only one that was born from that female and the female died so Junior was on her own. Yeah, I know they are on their own anyway but it was sort of sad, lose one to have one.

So far some of my friends want some of the babies when they get bigger .. But I am planning on buying another tank, though I have another female who appears to be pregnant. I am planning on seperating the babies as soon as I can tell. She hasn't had anymore and her belly is smaller so I dont think she is having anymore. :) I was considering, if i end up with too many, giving them to the petshop, but they have a lot of guppies already anyway :/

Yeah, and not all petstores will take them and if they do they likely will sell them as food. If that is alright with you, fine but I just didn't like the idea. Guess I am too soft. ha ha I got out of live bearers for that reason. Once a female has been exposed to a male she can have babies several times. You might just be beginning, who knows. they are lovely fish for sure. It made me sad when a female would die after giving birth.
