New and suffering snails as a result!

Hi,

found this website and thought it was cool to be able to connect with people who are AS interested in this stuff as I am starting to be...

I have already found someone that lives nearby that is on this forum...what a small world!

Anyway, good to be here, thanks for the welcome...

and yes, I have pond snails b/c I didn't treat my *expensive* plants...

karen

(by the way, if you are bored, go to the gallery, I posted a pic of a fish that I need help identifying...molly or platy, male or female!? - it is white with red)

Welcome to Fishforum.com, Karen.

Your picture shows a variegated platy (Xiphophorus variatus). As for snails, controlling can be done by limiting feeding rations.:)

Hope to talk to you a lot.

I guess I have an odd sense of being able to identify most common livebearers. Your fish is a male. Male mollies have larger fins than the platies.
