I thought they were siamese/chinese algae eaters? They weren't this color when I bought them about 2 or 3 weeks ago! I mean maybe they are, just they change colors?? Any ideas?
I would say Chinese algae eater.. siamese algae eater is a different species.
Love that first picture with the other fish.. it's like it's saying.. OMG it's gonna kill me.. because it probably will. Chinese algae eater get quite violent as it gets older. I would suspect the changing color is a step in that direction.
I conpletely agree with what has been posted above once they mature, they become VERY nasty. I return it of find it a new home.
Thanks guys! I will find it a new home!!! :)
I would be near-certain that the pictured fish is not a Chinese Algae Eater (Gyrinocheilus aymonieri), nor is it the Siamese. I have seen this in photos, but can't remember where or what it is, sorry. So I can't offer any advice as to its acceptability or not. If I come across it, I'll post.
if i am not mistaken.
