The things you notice in movies
I was watching an old movie on Netflix called Case 39. It has Renee Zellweger who plays a social worker who gets involved with a supposed abuse case of a 10 year old girl. Long story short, she (Renee) takes in the kid only to find out that the child is possessed. After the child kills off all her friends etc... Renee decides the only way to get rid of the kid is to kill her by burning down her house with her in it. So the house is burning down and Renee is sitting on the couch, she looks over at her fishtank with a dwarf Gourami. Next seen, she is outside with her dwarf Gourami in a little goldfish bowl. Sad that I noticed that. Only a true fish lover would notice a fishtank in a movie and be able to identify the little fish. ha ha
I was also happy in the movie that the vicious guard dog that was possessed for a change wasn't a Rottweiler.
I was just watching an Alanis Morisette interview in her home and she had a pretty large turtle in what looked like a 20 gallon tank.
I wasn't even listening to what she was saying because alll I could think of was shouting at the tv"Alanis, a turtle that size needs at least a 50 gallon tank"
We're going to need a bigger boat..... :-)
Sorry had to be said...
Ha ha ha ha ha - nice one :lol:
Thanks for the laugh. I needed it after this week
I wish I could remember the movie, but I noticed something like this in a movie once, too. The main character had what looked like a 55 gal filled with common goldfish and koi. I noticed this in a dramatic fight scene, and all I could think about how overstock that tank was. Only fish people...
Alright but if we are going there, how sad is it that, that movie scared people out of the water forever? ha ha I can't swim in a pool without occasionally hearing that music. da da, da da da. Sorry didn't really know how to type the sound.
The movie "finding Nemo" almost ruined fish keeping for me. I wouldn't ever be able to own a live caught fish after watching that and seeing how sad the fish in the tank were and how they longed for their homes. I hate to think a cartoon taught me the most about fish keeping but it sort of did. I actually do put my critters first already but that was another wake up call. Give your fish the best possible care, fresh water, plenty of swimming room, nice live plants, and plenty of good friends and food. I don't want my fish to be wanting for anything. That said, I'm going to need a bigger tank...
