Raising aquarium hardness without raising the pH?

Hey all, I'm trying to get my new 29 gallon's chemistry all in line for what the species I want require. I'm getting 9 female Bettas, 1 BN Pleco(already have him), 3 platy(own), and 6 endlers. My water comes out at around 7.5 pH and 8-12 dGH, depending on the season. So, as you can see, it's a little too soft for the Endlers, but the pH is just fine. I think the Pleco will be uncomfortable in higher pH, as the profiles say. Do you think I should just let it be? I've heard of Endlers doing well in softer water, and all the Platies have either given birth/been raised in this water, so I think they'll be fine. Thanks for opinions/answers!

First indication to go for my vote of leaving it, is you have had fish breed. Usually a good indication the conditions are to their likely and are happy.

I vote for not changing it.

I concur. You want to avoid "soft" water and what you have is not soft, it is medium hard.

GET and keep a big jug from a REPUTABLE water supply store of HARD SPRING water. There should be nuetral readings except HARD on a test strip. Replace about a third of the tank.
ALL my water for my kids pets and fish is hard spring water . Its worth it. NO NOTHING but C02 and calcium

Equilibrium is what will raise GH while leaving KH (and thus pH) alone.

However I agree with the others, don't mess with anything. You don't really have that soft of water.

The d means degrees, so you have 143 - 214 ppm GH.

Soft water is mine at 1-2 dGH ;)
