Compatible?? fClown Knife and Needlefish (needlenose gar)
I have a small 4" clown knife, and 3 3" needlefish In a 55 gallon, ( I have an empty 180gal in the garage that I will move them to when they grow up) I understand they will out grow the tank but for right now they are fine. Anyone kept these together when they mature? I dont see there being a problem as the needle fish get 12-15" but I thought Id ask anyway? Anyone have any imput?
If you're talking about a needlenose gar (Lepisosteus osseus), they get about 24" or larger. They are also not a tropical fish and like cooler temps than the knifefish.
not a longnose
no I have a needlefish, similar to a long nose gar but much more shiny and slinder in the Xenentodon family. they only get 12-15" in wild
