hey guys I have a 55 gallon south American Cichlid tank with Two convicts and Oscar fish and the One convict is being very aggressive and is attacking my Oscars and other convict when they travel past his log, is there anything i can do to eliminate this aggressiveness or should i just remove the aggressive fish.(I think i have two female convicts so could this be the problem?)
I would suggest you have too many fish (of the wrong sort) in a 55g. Check the profiles of both species, click the shaded names: Oscar and Convict Cichlid. One oscar in a75g is suggested, and convicts are not community fish except in very large tanks. Things will probably worsen until one fish is left alive.
well it was going to be an oscar only tank but somehow a convict got thrown in there im going to be looking for someone to take them cause i didnt really like them anyways.
