I can't find a Pulcher.
Four Pulcher in a twenty gallon long. Play sand, rocks, shells, vallisneria, some anacharis. Eating brine shrimp and flake; some hydra showed up.
Moving them to a 55 gallon, play sand, shells, vallinseria, rocks that has been cycling for three weeks with two large filters to clean up the play sand I didn't wash well enough.
Couldn't find the darn things. I saw one duck back into a shell. I scooped the shell up and moved it to the 55. My Wife suggested we move the shells. We did. I finally netted one.
We had three in the 55, not a sign of the other guy. One has hidden except at feeding time; I hope he will come out tomorrow if I feed the 20.
The three guys in the 55 happily ate shrimp; they are glad that the good grub followed them to their new home. I just saw one in the 55 now with the lights off, peeking out of a shell. Traumatic for all of us.
I found him yesterday.
The twenty and fifty are on an L shaped desk. He leapt out and landed at the L junction, the twenty being two inches lower than the fifty shelf and half an inch away.
I fell terrible. I thought I was a responsible aquarist, but I brought something alive home and killed it.
Sorry for your loss.
