Fish you don't like...in your tank?
 

Has anyone or does anyone, have a fish in your tank that you actually don't like? What is it? Why don't you like it? I definitely do, both of my Tetras, but I have no idea why I can't stand them, I just don't haha

I love every fish I have. From the 'classic' or 'standard' looking fish like my Lemon Tetras, to the more exotic species. With them together, your aquarium can have a nice contrast. Very attractive to the human eye.

What kind of tetra are they, and why don't you them? You may be able to trade them to a local store.

I used to breed Mollies as feeder fish to my turtles but over time they all except 1 balloon molly got eaten. Its not that i hate this fish but it just looks silly in cichlid tank. He has been in a tank full of Keyhole cichlids for the last year and every morning i wake up hoping he has . . . . . ha ha !

one neon tetra and one serpae tetra, i had 3 neon and 2 serpae, but theyre the only too left. just something about them makes me not like them i dont know why

I have lots! My endlers would be #1 I hate them. I've hated them for years its just I can never catch them all in that densely planted tank. I'm not to the point were I want to rip the tank up and catch them all. They have been inbreeding for years. I cull a number of the fry and feed them to other fish. But its to the point where their reproduction rate is dropping lol. Eventually I will win! However my method has led to years of the fastest fish living -_-

I hated my flowerhorn. I get that SA cichlids are and can be agressive. This fish wasnt agressive. he was just a jerk face, and my girlfriend wouldnt let me take him out behind the barn.

he wasnt so much agressive, he was just rude for the sake of being rude to the other fish. He even stressed by pleco half to death. What kind of bully picks on a poor pleco?

I wound up giving him away to a sucker... i mean kind soul, and THAT DAY I went down and bought two new red crested green severums :-)

According to their profiles (click their names), these are both shoaling fish that prefer to be kept in groups of 6 or more. As solitary individuals, they probably act very stressed, which might contribute to your dislike of them. Just a theory. The profile also suggests that your Serpae might be aggressive in this set up, nipping the fins of your other fish. What size tank do you have and what other fish do you keep in it? If you have room to stock more, maybe try getting some companions for the tetras and see if their attitude doesn't improve?

Interesting! I just checked your tank profile and you only list one endler. I assume you've had a population boom since then? LOVE your video by the way! Very nice work. I think it's time for a recut version if you still have the original project file. The fish in your sig must have been added since then? And if you have one, I'd really like to see a nice establishing shot of the entire aquarium in there. BTW, no need to thank me for the free production notes! ;-) Yours is definitely one of my favorite setups that I've seen here. If not for my wife's strong aversion to all snakelike creatures, I'd be inspired to replicate it exactly.

Love/Hate relationship... Jurupari. Loved it when I saw it in the store, new wore off and there he was just sitting around all the time, hate that, but who couldn't love a mug like that??
