Dividing a 10 gallon
Hi how would i divide a 10 gallon tank? I am a noob so please explain everything. Thanks
buy something like this http://www.amazon.ca/Lees-Aquarium-Divider-10-Gallon/dp/B006L49LHM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1328144205&sr=8-2this is just an example i do not know if its a good one or not
i plan to divide into 5 and keep 5 betta's
That's not a good idea. You can divide a 20 long into five sections, but 5 sections in a 10 gal tank will not work. It doesn't give the fish enough room to swim. Bettas need surface area more than they need depth. You can divide a 10 into 3 sections, tho.
ETA: http://www.petfish.net/articles/Do-I...k_dividers.php This is the tutorial I used to divide my tank. I did not use the plexiglass one. That is not for beginners and very time consuming.
I planned to divide my 10gal, but I didn't like the way it looked. It didn't seem like there was enough room for two fish. Thats my opinion. If you want to go for it.
