Cloudy water after driftwood addition.

I just bought a rather larger piece of driftwood for my 36 gallon. The store said I can just take it home and drop it in the tank. I rinsed it before hand anyway cuz it was full of small snails. They had it in one of their tanks at the store so it's already soaked but the water seems a little cloudy. Should I do a water change or will the filter clear it up over night?

I would leave it overnight and see if it clears up on it's own.

If after a few days it does not then, I would look at ways to remedy the cloudy water.

do you have a planted aquarium? if so then you might have got yourself a snail problem. i wouldn't worry about the cloudy water it does not harm the fish and will clear up on its own after a while
