is my amazon biotope aquarium Overstocked???
Could someone please tell me if there are too many fish in my aquarium?:-?
i have:
5 golden rams
3 Bolivian rams
9 black neons
3 neons
2 red tail sharks
2 honey gouramis
4 angelfish
2 guppys

I have a 30 gallon densely planted tank with a lot of caves and places to hide.
all these fish are still juveniles and are small.when they grow bigger i am planning to remove the red tail sharks and 2 of the angels. is this still overstocked?

You really have 30 fish in a 30 gallon tank? What are you using for a filter? You are way overstocked, but some of it will resolve itself. One of the red tails will kill the other, your angelfish will eat the neons, and your bolivian rams will kill everyone else if they mate. Good luck. ;-) Seriously though, you need to get a tank about 3 times the size and an appropriately sized filter if you want to keep all those fish.

Yeah i thought so :P i will take out the 4 angels and 1 red tail shark what else do u think i should take out i would like to keep the bolivian and the golden rams in thought. my filter is a JBL 45g filter and all my fish seem fine they are all very colorful and lively.

Agree on those named fish going.

The Rams depends upon whether they are male or female. If all female, they will co-exist (still water issues, I'm only thinking compatibility here) but males of either species will at some point probably not far off decide its time to assert their right to own the tank. Of course, sometimes fish are so weakened by conditions that they can't behave normally, and this weakening can be caused by too many fish in a given space, both physically (their territories, etc) and the resulting water quality from too many fish.

We have profiles here, second tab from the left in the blue bar across the top; you might want to read up on these various species to have a better understanding of their requirements and temperaments. If the name is used the same in posts as in the profile, it will shade, example Bolivian Ram and Blue Ram, and you can click on the shaded name to see that fish's profile.

And welcome to TFK forum.:-D
