what kind of fish food for cherry barbs I currently have no fish food for my cherry barbs except bettamin. Can I feed this to them or should I get something else. |
You will need other kinds of food. A good quality tropical flake or granule food should be the staple diet. But also you should vary their diet and provide brine shrimp, blood worms, daphnia...ect frozen or freeze-dried. Also vegetables is good addition, spinach, zucchini, or skinned peas. The key to having a healthy fish is a varied diet with fresh foods. |
got to totally agree there,a varied diet helps the fish have long healthy lives, and brings out good colour in the fish. :) |
they can eat what you have, but like most fish, variety will maximize their health and color. if its a male, and you really want him to look blazing red, feed him a healthful diet- I have had cherries for years- i feed a good quality flake every other day, and then once a week i feed veggies, brine shrimp, or krill. he LOVES brine shrimp, those really perk him up! |
