Fluval flora stocking
Hello, Im planing to get a fluval flora for my dad because he wants a nice fish tank for fathers day. I'm planning on having it heavily planted, black sand, some river rocks, a nice piece of wood with Riccia on it, and this is my planned stocking, the stocking I chose is very simalar to the recommended sticking for a 10 gallon tank on the fish for a 10 gallon tank thread. This tank is only 2 gallons less so I don't think that it'll be a problem. And it is hevily planted, and cycled with mati media. Here is the link to the thread. Recommendations For A 10 Gallon - Tropical Fish Forums
1 male Betta imbellis Or 1 Dario Dario
5-6 boraras brigittae
3-4 Pygmy cories
3-4 red cherry shrimp. Grade A
This is for 8 gallons?
That's a lot of fish for 8 gallons, I'd leave out the Beta.
Lots of plants will help, but you'll have to closely watch the water parameters. If Nitrates rise quickly that will mean more often water changes.
Okay what about a dario dario instead, and I was planning on doing 25% weekly water changes or 1 50% water change and 1 25% water change weekly
Start without, see how the water parameters go, then go from there. Best to slowly introduce fish anyways instead of all at once.
Okay, I will definitely do that. Thanks for the help
