Hello everyone, i have a red tailed shark with strange brownish lines on its side. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with it and how to treat it? thanks

It looks to me as if your fish has a case of skin slime. This basically means that water conditions that are not so preferable with this species of fish (red tailed sharks like a ph of 6.5-7.5). The conditions break down the layer of protective mucus covering the fish. Be careful because this leaves the fish vulnerable to parasites and bacterial infections.Treat the tank with a tank treatment, something from your local fish store that protects against infection. Treat the tank as soon as possible! Remember to remove all filter carbon and any other medication instructions. Best of luck to you and you fish!

It should. But you might have to do shome water ajustments first. What are your water parameters.
