Any advice on the keeping twig catfish?
Hello everybody, I just got a twig catfish in a 20 gallon tank. It's a little crowded in there, I have some rummys and some cardinals, a few silver hatchetfish, some pepper corys, a clown pleco, and I got an angelfish before I came here and learned that theyshould be in a 30+ gallon tank. However everybody seems fine. The 14 tetras all school in the back of the aquarium, the 3 hatchets all stay at the surface, the clown pleco is always hiding, the 4 corys are always playing on the gravel, and the angel just kind of cruises around. Anyway, my twig catfish seems fine. He's eating algae and he moves around a little. So, I was just wondering if you guys could give me a few pointers on how to keep this unique species happy and healthy. Thanks.
have you taken a peek at the fish profiles on this site, there is a profile on the twig catfish.
i'never kept them, although they are on my *if i was to be able to get another big tank wish list *
I've kept this very interesting fish for many years, and spawned them several times and I now have fry (now matured) in another tank. I doubt I could add anything to what I wrote in the profile that willow mentioned.
All right, thanks, but in a 20 gallon and with all the fish I have I think I'll just keep one. Thanks.
