Planted Aquarium Question 1 Attachment(s) I added a pressurized Co2 System with a controller. I am shooting at keeping the PH at 6.8 so I can get a Co2 cooncentration of 25ppm. My kh is about 6 degrees. By me keeping the PH at 6.8 will that be a problem for loaches and live bearers. It is a pretty heavily planted 45 gallon high aquarium. |
Maintaining a stable pH is more important than trying to shoot for a specific number. I'll say your fine if you can keep it stable at 6.8 |
BTW nice tank!! |
Beautiful tank!! I love your plants. |
Thanks. I just finished a 30 percent water change and some serious pruning. |

I know it looks busy but I keep moving things around as the plants grow. From Left to right. Sponge filter which I use for added circulation. Second hose is the output hose of my secondary filter (Fluval 404). I use this filter for Nitrate and Phosphate removal. Then PH probe which has now been moved behind the Big bushy Rotella alone with the heater so they are now hidden. Then comes the Intake hose from the 404. Next comes the intake and output hose from my main filter Fluval 405 with Bio rings and Bio maxx, Boyds Chemi Pure and Renew and using UV Light. I use both filters because I use to have two tanks now one so I figure why not the filter anyway plus I overstock the tank. It is not perfect but trying to get there. |
