Hi, So for the last month several people have been helping me with preparing my new 75. I am very thankful for all your help . Last night we got to pick the fish up... 15 ciclids and 1 pleco.The owner wanted them to all go at once .Best layed plans oh well... I plan to keep an eagle eye on the ammonia level.


Since I was getting my info on these fish third hand there have been a few suprises like sizes I have one active tank here ..I can only ID the yellow labs I have spent most of the day on the internet . (owner didnt know ) Getting now where I came to TFK where theres alwys good help


I will now attempt to get some photos here ( second try)

#1-3 top to bottom #1 There are 2 of these one seems to be male with egg spot other not sure # 2 very apricot in color no spots # 3 one of the more aggressive doesnt look as blue as this photo mre lavender

#2 I'm fairly certain is a red zebra. These can cross bred with electric yellows given the right(or wrong) situation. The fish on the bottom right of the first picture is probably an auratus. can be a rather aggresive fish.

Fish #1 is at a bit of an angle and I cant quite make out the coloring on it. Almost looks like it could be one of the afore mentioned yellow lab-red zebra hybrids.

#3 I have no idea

The one is the second picture is a bit generic. Would probably have to see a few different angles to better identify.

the one in the bottom picture is a Pseudotorphues Socolofi.

fish #1 looks to be a albino red zebra.

Fish #2 Red Zebra

Fish #3 Orange Blotch (OB) Red Zebra,

Fish #4 Pseudotropheus socolofi

You are going to get crossbreeding and aggression issues with them all.
