Im thinking of starting up some breeding tanks to try and turn a few coins from my hobby. I have just over a 4ft alcove in which to house them. What are the best reccomended size tanks to use? maybe 18" x 12" x 12"? I could build a unit and house 10 of them or 8 and a 3ft sump at the bottom?. Also what breeds are reguarded as widely popular? Opinions wzanted as stated. Thanks

Well if you have the freedom to choose what to raise....? .... go talk to your local fish store, LFS, and see what sells the best... see what they are willing to take. I would say Discus for one if your water PH is low enough... they sell here in TO for about $25 to $50 depending on the size. Build up a relationship with a reputable fish store. good luck.

Jackiebabie brought up a good point. Your water parameters will determine what you can breed. Fish only breed in ideal or close to ideal water parameters.
You could also look into selling fish on aquabid.com. They have large sections for bettas and cichlids. Some of those things can go for a lot of money.
