Are Golden Panchax Evil?

How agressive are golden panchax? I am thinking of tearing down my Crayfish/Panchax tank and doing something diferent with it.

I have a friend who wants the crayfish, but i'm not sure what to do with the Panchax. The ideal solution would be to put them into the 55g with my angels, boesmani rainbows, black ruby barbs and cories, but i don't wanna do that if it'll be a massacre...

It's not a vital change, i'm just fancying something a bit different, and would like a tank that i can decorate without having it ripped apart by that dam crayfish within 10 mins...

There are only 3 Panchax now (2 jumped out...) so would it be an idea to get a few more, as i believe they do better in groups, and my LFS has some in at the moment (or rather still has the rest of the ones i didn't buy 3 monts ago - why does no-one want these fish, they're lovely!)

I've never seen panchax capable of murdering their tankmates.:dunno: All the fish you listed should be fine. Panchax always stay on top among floating plants stalking any prey but may also consume smaller tankmates.

You can add more. I don't see a problem with that.

Cheers lupin, I wasn't sure if they were agressice, but they have such HUGE mouths! I'll move them across once i've got some decent plant cover for them growing!

Panchax are a member of the killiefish family of fishes. They will eat ANYTHING that will fit into their mouths, including their mate. Been there done that.
