So I currently have 60 lbs of live rock in my 55 and I found some rocks at my friends property that I think would look nice in my tank.....can I use them in my tank even though they are not from the sea originally? ???? And will they eventually turn live after a while????

I would advise against doing that. You have no idea what is in the rock. If it contains any metals or copper in it, your tank would be doomed.
