When your ABF visits the lower areas of the tank. . .

What does it mean? Just recently, the past few days, I observe my ABF traveling to the middle areas and even the lowest parts of the tank. Doesn't seem to have a real purpose, he just swims around and then eventually returns to the top to his plant.

Is he just exploring a little bit? Is there something wrong? The only explanation I have is that he's looking for food but I feed these clowns every night.

Thanks!

There's nothing wrong with them doing that unless you find them not doing physically well. Almost all fish will try to explore a bit before returning to what they seem to think as their designated areas.

I figured as much but I had never seen him leave the top of the tank before. I'm just glad it's normal, I'm so happy he's exploring the rest of his world! :D :D :D

Sounds like he feels safe and happy! Awesome!
